Helping Families Today for a Healthier Tommorow.

Behavioral Health

Centro San Vicente provides behavioral health services at its Health Care for the Homeless Clinic located inside the Opportunity Center at 1208 Myrtle Avenue in downtown El Paso.  We receive generous funding support through the United Way of El Paso County, the Health Services and Resources Administration and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Services are provided Psychiatrist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor who provide diagnosis, consulting, and psychotherapy at the Homeless Clinic and at area shelters.

Services include direct diagnosis, treatment, referral, and follow up to patients of all ages, as well as families.  Our mental health providers consult regularly with the patient's physician to coordinate care.  The approach selected is the one that best matches the needs of the individual client.

The immediate family of patients is actively involved in treatment planning and therapy; this is always the case when the patient is a child.  Our collaborative approach to treatment empowers patients, parents, and their families by educating them about what questions to ask of a physician or psychotherapist.

Centro San Vicente, in partnership with the El Paso Coalition for the Homeless, provides the following services at the Homeless Clinic:

  • Individual Counseling
  • Group Counseling
  • Case management
  • Referrals to mainstream community resources such as food stamps, social security, housing, employment, etc.
  • Referrals for psychiatric services
  • Referrals to emergency shelters
  • Healthcare referrals.
