Clinical Laboratory

The CSV lab provides services to registered patients of Centro San Vicente. We strive to provide excellent customer service, enhance the care of all our patients in a professional and friendly environment, and provide accurate and precise results in a timely and cost effective manner.

The staff is comprised of one M.D. as the laboratory director, a laboratory supervisor, laboratory technicians and assistants.

Laboratory services are provided under provisions of CLIA, a unit of the Federal Department of Health and Human Resources, and under provisions of the Texas Department of Health to ensure quality laboratory testing. The laboratory is also accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the community through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations

CSV lab performs many of the routine lab tests that are required for patient treatment. Tests not performed on site are referred to a well qualified accredited laboratory: Lab Corp, Thomason Hospital Clinical and Anatomical Laboratory and Texas Department of Health.

The time required for accurate test results varies.  Our medical providers receive test results as soon as they are available, and discuss these results with patients during their next appointment.  If you require the results sooner or need them faxed to another medical provider, please call the Medical Records department at ext. 222.
